Crazy Hart Ranch produces pastured poultry supplimented with a feed ration free from antiboitics, hormones, animal byproducts and roxarsone. Sustainable farming methods are used and the environment is not polluted and the earth’s resources are not depleted. Animals are raised humanely in a natural environment. The result is a product unmatched in quality and taste.

Our meat chicken is the Cornish Cross Broiler, production starts in the Fall and ends in May. Chickens are raised in pasture pens that are moved to fresh pasture daily.

Chickens usually weigh 3-4 lbs. each. We have whole chicken, half chicken, and whole butterflied chicken available fresh frozen year round.

Fall 2009 we introduced Cornish Game Hens to our customers and they have quickly risen to be one our best sellers.

Our laying flock is composed of a mix of Heritage hens. We sell eggs for pet consumption only. Our eggs are white and varying shades of brown and green.

Turkeys and laying chickens are pastured in poultry netting portable fence, which protects them from predators and dogs. The poultry netting directs the tilling and fertilizing work of the chickens. If they were free range, they would simply go to their favorite spots and neglect the rest of the pasture. Chickens are rotated in pastures with horses and cattle so that they can “scratch out” the manure left behind to aid in parasite control and scavenge undigested nutrients. Pastures are rotated regularly depending on grass availability and paddock size. Grass is the key ingredient for production of lean healthy meat, and eggs rich with Vitimin E, Folic Acid, Beta Carotene, Omega-3s, and lower in Cholesterol.

Crazy Hart Ranch is Florida’s Exclusive pastured poultry producer fully licensed and inspected by FDAC . Our objective is quality instead of quantity, so we are unable to offer volume discounts.
