Are there membership fees?
Yes. Membership dues are $40 annually. Membership Fees help us support the Co-op’s overhead costs while keeping the grocery prices as low as possible each week. These monies also help us provide farm tours and educational programs. Membership is good for one calendar year from receipt of dues.
You are welcome to try us for two orders before officially becoming a member.
Non-member orders will be assessed a 10% surcharge fee.
Will I have to buy vegetables I don't want?
Unlike some co-ops, buying clubs, or CSAs where everyone gets the same box of stuff and you don’t know what you’re getting until you get it, Homegrown Co-op lets you order exactly what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms of your choice. The weekly email lists the produce, bulk items, flowers, and artisan goods available that week, and you can browse the items on this website before you place your order.
This said, we do offer Season’s Pick baskets, for those who have a limited time to order but still want to ensure a fresh box of produce is waiting for them on pick-up day. These boxes come with an assortment of the freshest seasonal produce available.
We also offer Farm-Share membership upgrades, for those members committed to the ongoing support of our community support agriculture (CSA) projects. Farm-Share members commit to purchase weekly and receive a Season’s Pick basket each week.
How do I order?
Every Sunday the order window is opened and a list of available products is e-mailed to all registered members. Your order must be placed for the week no later than Wednesday morning at 9:00 am. Bread orders from Olde Hearth Bakery must be placed before 4:30pm Tuesday. Orders can be placed here on our website.
Surplus produce is available on Thursdays from 2-7 pm at our Downtown pick up location which is also our organizing hub. If you miss the order window, visit us on Thursday to stock up on surplus items; keep in mind that selection and variety may be limited. The best way to ensure you get the products you want is to place your online order within our order window.
When do I pay?
Payment is taken at the time of pick up.
Cash and check payments are preferred and we offer a 2% discount for these payment options. Visa and Mastercard credit/debit payments are also accepted.
Please remember that once the order window closes, all orders are processed for harvest by our farmers, and you are obligated to pay for your order even if you forget to pick it up.
When and Where do I pick up my order?
Orders are placed on-line between Sunday and Wednesday morning for pick-up or home delivery on Thursday afternoon.

Why Support Locally Grown?
Enhance your local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.
Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.
Provide learning opportunities: Homegrown Co-op supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.
Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.
We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.
How can I sell through this market?
If you’ve already created a customer account here, simply go to Our Growers and click on ‘Join this Market’. This will add you to our system and our market managers will contact you with the next step. Like at a traditional farmers’ market, you do get to set your own prices and list your items as you wish. Contact grow@homegrowncoop.org if you want more information.
Can I get home delivery?
Yes.
Homegrown Co-op is now offering home delivery service to the greater Orlando area, so enjoy delicious local food delivered right to your door.
Home delivery service is only available to Co-op members that have a valid credit card registered on file.
Payments for your orders are made upon delivery. Cash & checks are encouraged, but you can also use the credit card we have on file.
If you will not be home during the delivery window (Thursday 3-9pm) you will be required to leave a cooler in a predetermined spot at your home.
Delivery Fees
Home delivery will require the payment of a $5-12 fee each week you elect the service.
Fees are assigned according to your ZIP code and vary according to your home’s distance from our Downtown Orlando sorting facility.
These fees go directly to the delivery driver to pay for their time, gas & vehicle expenses. Tips are encouraged, but not required.
